Hi there I haven’t posted in a while I just wanted to let you guys know what is going on .

College is going great at Lake Washington Institute of Technology (long name I know) I just registered for my second quarter of classes in the Multi-Media Design and Production program and I feel a little spread thin not knowing were to balance art and homework but excited at the same time because of the new things I am learning. I am currently in the process of illustrating a friend’s book that is going to be published on March 15 thought Lulu, the book is called Scribbling it’s a collection of short stories and poems. My room is starting to look more like an art studio now that I have big old filing cabinet , I am going to re-paint it and try some ambushing on it I will post pictures when I get around to it, and I finally hung some pictures to cover an empty wall. My mind is swimming with ideas that are just screaming to get on to paper, but it seem like time is the bane of the artist. I am going to start posting things from my sketch book so you can see what I am learning and see if I am getting any better :). Sorry I have not posted any videos in a while, I miss making them, but I am have some program trouble, nothing I can’t fix just haven’t gotten around to it. This was going to be a longer post about my sketch book updates, but it’s a sunny day out side and I am going to do some concrete surfing on my long board. Just have to put a plug-in for the best long board company ever. BC Long boards is small company that does custom graphics and is all around a great company. I bought a board from them last year and was able to design my own graphic

Just wanted to share this with you guys. This guy is really inspiring for artist that don’t see a use for there gift in furthering God kingdom. He has inspired me to refocus my thoughts and art to paint more and more for the glory of the King. Go ” Repaint Jesus” for someone by your actions, actions speak louder then words. Wow, last post was March 9th, I think I have ignored my blog for far to long, it is time to get back in to the beat of blogging. Sorry about that! I could tell you that life got out of control but that would be an excuse. Things have just been the same old same old ,a little dog training, a lot of eating, an average amount of school and an awesome relationship with my God. Oh I also turned eighteen and my big brother got married those events were pretty awesome. Well all this was taking place I also realized I really like finger painting (defiantly going to be a future post) and got elven other paintings done, (also going to be another past), For my brothers wedding I was honored to be both a grooms men and to make a slide show that tells the story of two people truly in love, this story I would like to share with you. Enjoy and tell me what you think!

What do you thank of when you here the word legacy? The first thing that comes to my mind is a sword, you see I really like swords and I have study and research them quite a bit. One of the interesting things I found out was that in the Anglo-Saxon culture fathers passed down their swords to their sons very seldom did young men going off to battle have their own new sword, it was usually their fathers weapon that had seen many battles and had stood the test of time, that was refurbished and handed down to their sons. I thank that when the son wielded his father’s weapon he could trust it with his life and know that it would not fail him in times of need. So that got me thanking what legacy am I going to leave, am I going to leave a small dagger, a flimsy rapier, or a strong broad sword. What type of legacy are you going to leave?

Ok, I’m back and have more of a plan of what my blog is going to be this year, instead of me just posting random picture throughout the week my art is going to have a theme,a description, and a purpose. I will be making time lapses videos of the art in all its stages, so here is the first one of hopefully many to come.
Purity
Purity : What is purity? pure,white,clean, seeking Gods desires not are own, Free from the thoughts of this world. In art purity is usually , a white rose,a maiden, or an angle. In my painting I chose to use a white tuple because tuple petals have a wax like coating on them that stops stuff (sin) from muddying the color (purity) of the tuple.
Sin: The storm cloud in the painting is the sin trying to corrupt purity and cut is off from God notice that even though the sin is trying to hide God from us, God is always visible. The black cloth on the cross is my sin that Christ has taken away to give me purity.

Life: The red swirls at the bottom symbolize life. Life is not as dark as sin but the business of it can distract us from what matters most. God
